Follow the fairy trail veering right till you come to the car park. Then you are faced with two options for paths on your right.

  1. Take the bottom path which runs through the centre of the woods. It’ll take about 20 mins and brings you out to a viewpoint and down a trail, ending at the end of Callander. Circle left to pass the large Dreadnought carpark to head back to the Nest.

  2. If you take the top path with the boom, that will take you up to the Crags. It’s a steep, lung-busting climb but not very far.

Peaceful Teith Riverside walk

Take the first or second path down the small hill to your right and follow the river.

Reverse the walk for ease, or for a change of scenery go through the wood at the end, across the field and cross the road.

If you want to go straight home, follow the road left.  If you want more nature, turn right, when you see the grave yard there is an opening in the woods on your left.

Follow the wood path to the brow of the hill and down the other side.

Turn left onto the cycle track and it’ll bring you out to the town.

The Meadows – a tourist trail

Turn right onto Aros Lane and left onto Main Street.

At the traffic lights, cross the road and head down the hill.

Take your first right into the meadows.

A favourite with visitors is sipping a coffee or tucking into fish and chips and watching the world go by.

Keep left alongside the field.

Cross the lane and go down the hill (passing a field on your left) and up the other side.

Follow your nose, for as little or long as you like. Great walk for active people and pets.
